In order to oppose the Food Safety and Standard Act and decision to allow Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the retail sector, a nationwide dharna on August 23 at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, large number of activists of Bhartiya Janata Party Traders' Cell has left for New Delhi on Tuesday. The Dharna would be attended and addressed by BJP National President Nitin Gadkari, senior BJP Leader Lal Krishna Advani, leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj, former BJP President Venkaiya Naidu and National Convener of BJP Traders' Cell Shayam Behari Mishra.
